The Dunajec River breaks through beautiful limestone mountains in the south of Poland, creating some of the most incredible rock formations. The Pieniny National Park is a unique monument of nature untouched by civilisation. A 15-kilometer-long route will let you relax and get some tan, but it will also show you the haunted castle in Niedzica, world-known wooden architecture and above all, the most picturesque region of Poland.

What you will see

After a two-hour ride from Kraków you will reach Sromowce - Kąty, where river rafting starts. You will have a sit on traditional wooden raft which can take max 10 people. Our guide will assist you, translate raftsman anecdotes and acquaint you with the history and traditions of the place. After ca 2h rafitng through picturesque Dunajec river gorge you will reach Szczawnica town, where you'll have  1,5h break to have a lunch in one of local restaurants.  After a relaxing journey you will reach Kraków.

Before your visit

There is minimal number of participants required: min. 2 people

IMPORTANT - STUDENT DISCOUNT - Student tickets for all tours of Cracow City Tours are sold to the visitors who show valid student's ID. Data which need to be shown on student's ID are: name of University, owner's name, surname and foto, date of exp. If there is no date of birth on your student ID we will ask you to present also any other document which confirms that you are under 26 years old. 

The discount with "university ID card" does not apply to postgraduate students and masters.

Where is the meeting point?
If booked in advance, we can pick you up at your hotel in Krakow. Otherwise, the meeting place is at Matejko Square no. 2, where our check-in office is.
How long is the tour?
Tour lasts ca. 8-9h.
Does tour run if it is raining?
Yes, raftsman float despite rain. Only if there are heavy rains which effects on water level in Dunajec rafting can be cancelled.
Do we need special clothes?
It's good to have raincoat - weather like to change and comfortable shoes.
Is this tour available all year long?
No, it isn't. The Dunajec Gorge rafitng is available from half of April till the end of October.
Is there lunch included?
Lunch is not included, however there is time for lunch break.
